In this week’s Talking with Tapolci we’re going to look into porting numbers in our BackOffice. While we were going to discuss new SMS features, Jason decided to hold off on that for a bit in order to share a LNP (local number porting) promotion that we were able to secure from our porting department. With this promotion, we are allowing number ports into VoIP Innovations, as many as you want, for free while also waiving the usual one dollar activation fee!
If you took enough time to draw your eyes from your text message inbox to read this blog, I thank you. For better or for worse, texting has become the largest channel for communication.
It’s no surprise that SMS (Short Message Service), more commonly known as text messaging, has become the primary way for all of us to communicate, especially in our increasingly busy, on-the-go lifestyles.
Our latest product, SMS Forwarding is a new feature for Local DIDs that will allow you to use one number to receive your messages and keep your personal cell number private. If you find yourself juggling multiple numbers, this feature is great for you! Also, if you hate giving away your personal cell number, your office number can be used to forward messages to your personal device and email!
So why is it important in the VoIP world? The answer: the increasing trend of VoIP on mobile. Mobile devices are no longer just for making calls. Now, mobile devices have become handheld computers. With data plans, we are seeing more and more users using a VoIP number with SMS capabilities. This means if you’re a VoIP provider it’s a must that you choose a carrier that offers SMS capabilities with their DIDs.
As a way of showing our gratitude to you, our loyal customers, we will be extending our 25¢ Toll-Free and 65¢ E911 deals until April 30 with a spring promotion! In addition, we will be reintroducing our 25¢ Local DID promo to run until the end of the month. Along with all of this, we will also be offering Free Porting and No Activation Fees until April 30 as well!
Today we released a new innovative feature in our BackOffice in the form of Quick Links. The new Quick Links feature was designed to simplify navigation through the BackOffice to make the management of your services and DIDs easier than before.
Where would the world be without text messaging? Throughout the day, millions of phone screens light up with messages ranging from dinner plans, emoji exchanges between significant others, chit chat among friends, and birthday wishes to a distant family member. While billions of messages are sent each day, there is an SMS detail that most texters will never give a second thought to, that being Sender IDs.
Sender IDs are, in the simplest of explanations, the phone number a text is sent from. These numbers are classified as either a long code or short code, each with their own unique use.
DIDs are the bread and butter for any ITSP and VoIP Reseller, so knowing how to manage your inventory is pertinent to their success, especially if you have thousands of DIDs in your stock to sort through.
On today's Talking with Tapolci, we'll go over some features that you should be using to effectively run your business. Jason will demonstrate the benefits of DID management by using our BackOffice.
So, you’ve been in the VoIP game for a while. You have a whole slew of VoIP features: E911, 411, caller ID and so on. Now, you want to jump into the world of SMS and offer a full stack of features in your service portfolio.
As exciting as adding a new offering to your customers can be, choosing how much you want to charge for this service can be tricky. Today, we’re going to give you some tips when deciding how much you should charge for your SMS service.
On this week's Talking with Tapolci, we talk about granting your end users some responsibilities in managing VoIP services. This can be achieved by using our Brandable End User portal to allow your end users to perform tasks such as ordering DIDs, updating their caller ID name, changing E911 information, and more!
When running a successful business, one of the worst things that can happen is that you run out of product to sell. Imagine a scenario in which your VoIP business is booming, DIDs are getting swiped up left and right, and more and more orders are coming in each day. Suddenly, your stock runs dry. What do you think your end user is going to do in this situation? They're likely going to have to go with another reseller. Don’t let this happen to you. You need to find a way to keep your DIDs stocked and ready to sell.
When we announced our 65¢ E911 promotion, you might have noticed that we mentioned that there were more deals to come. Well, we weren't lyin'. The deals just keep rolling out! From now until the end of March, our Toll-Free DIDs are only 25¢ each!
