Hello everyone! We made it to another Friday! Also, for many of us, it will be a three-day weekend due to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday on Monday. But before you get immersed in festivities with family, friends, memories, and bar-b-ques, take a moment to reflect with us on the past week here at VoIP Innovations. We wanted to make sure to perfect all the little details on our new website, so instead of releasing it to you this week, it will be next week. The suspense is building this way! Fraud Detection Update

We’ve added an additional feature to our Fraud Detection Service which offers the ability to be alerted of any failed attempts. From the Wiki article: “Oftentimes a PBX is compromised and the owner is oblivious to this fact. Hackers run various scripts in an effort to determine the proper calling pattern necessary to complete international calls successfully. A preemptive way to catch international fraud, is therefore to look for a specific number of calls that did NOT complete within a specified period.”

With the above in mind, customers can now set a number of calls they want to be alerted on and can receive an alert once the system detects that number of failures in a 15 minute period. One more way we are looking out for you! Also, as a reminder, customers are entitled to the one month free trial of this service!

Billing Update

Secondly, we are changing the Top-up process for all Prepaid accounts as of June 1, 2015. We are now allowing customers to set their replenish trigger amount. We always allowed customers to set their Prepaid Target Balance, but the replenish trigger amount was always hard coded at half that amount. So if their target balance was $200, their replenish trigger was automatically $100. We want to give customers the freedom to choose their own replenish amount. This should result in fewer credit card transactions for customers.

Two New Faces Around the Office

Please join us in welcoming two summer interns to our ABG Capital Marketing Department! They will surely be hands-on in assisting VoIP Innovations in many ways, so we wanted to be sure to give them a warm Chat with Nat mention! 

Lea Chrisman, from Robert Morris University, is a Marketing major and will graduate in May 2016. Lea loves country music and is a huge fan of Justin Bieber. Huge fan. Yes, she is really is. 2015_Summer_Interns_ABG_Capital

Cody Ferenchak, from California University of Pennsylvania, is also majoring in Marketing and will graduate in May 2016, too. Cody is an avid guitar player in his spare time. He would also like to add that while he's not a huge fan of Justin Bieber, and has no desire to meet him, he'd hang out with him if given the opportunity.


Memorial Day Hours

As a reminder, the Memorial Day Holiday will be observed on Monday, May 25. Technical support will have coverage on Memorial Day from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM EDT in case you need them!
