Welcome to another weekly Chat with Nat at VoIP Innovations! As many of you know, we started off the week dealing with some issues that affected our BackOffice. On Sunday, March 2, we performed routine maintenance and were hit with unexpected issues. While these issues caused no interruption with any of our regular services, the BackOffice was unavailable to our customers for a few days and we are still continuing to recover parts of it.
The VoIP Innovations Engineering, IT, and Administration teams worked day and night all week to restore the BackOffice to normal. As of yesterday, March 6, we had the BackOffice almost fully restored. DID ordering was back to normal and we were able to the old dashboards functional again. We’re expecting to have the customizable widget dashboard display functional on Monday, March 10. There are more details in the blog post regarding the status of our BackOffice. Please continue to hang in there while we get everything back in working order! If you are experiencing any issues, please submit a ticket, call our support team at 877-478-6471 (option 4), or email the team at email@example.com.
Even though we were dealing with our BackOffice issues, we wanted to make sure that the VoIP Innovations blog was still featuring some great articles. The first one explored 7 tools that make collaboration much easier for small businesses. There are some familiar tools listed such as Microsoft Office 365, and then there are some new ones like Podio and Mezzanine.
The second article we posted this week finally revealed all of the details of our free porting and DIDs as low as $0.25. When you’re in the process of ordering DIDs, look for Tier 725 or 750 to take advantage of our low priced DIDs. If you’re more interested in free porting, then look for Tier 700 while filling out your LOA Form.
The last article that we shared on our blog this week was one that dug deep into what exactly a Location Routing Number (LRN) is. President of VoIP Innovations, Jason Tapolci, gets a lot of questions about this topic and wanted to explain the reasoning behind using it.
Next week we’re going to give you some tips on how to stay current in the VoIP industry. Things change so quickly in our industry that it’s hard to keep up sometimes! It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or a VoIP veteran, these resources will definitely help you.
Today we held our Month End Meeting for February, since we had to reschedule the original meeting. While no one from VoIP Innovations won Employee of the Month for February, Tyler Weimerskirch (one of our Porting Reps) was featured as Spotlight of the Month!
We also announced some awesome events that we have coming up. In April we’ll be having our annual kickball game and in May we’ll be visiting the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies to clean headstones before their Memorial Day services. We’re looking forward to both of these events!
That’s all we have for you this week, make sure to subscribe to our blog and follow us on Facebook and Twitter! By the way, we’re almost at 3,000 followers on Twitter, so make sure to tell everyone about us this weekend!
