Hi everyone! I’m Natalie DeCario and I was just hired at VoIP Innovations as the Communications Specialist. My job here was designed to help better manage VoIP Innovations’ online presence. So what does that really mean? Well, for the majority of my day I’m looking and trying to figure out what YOU want to see from VoIP Innovations online. That usually means scouring Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and LinkedIn to look for your feedback and for information that may be important to you. With that being said, yes there are real people, who have real jobs, just like me who are solely responsible for managing and interacting with you on your favorite social media sites!
I guess you’re probably wondering what makes me qualified to do this. I graduated from Carlow University with degrees in Corporate Communications and Mass Media and also a minor in Human Resource Management. When I started at Carlow I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life, but eventually after some classes and fantastic internships I was finally starting to make a plan for my life. Once I had that plan I was ready to go! I graduated a semester early, found my job here, and now that I’m finishing up my third week here, I couldn’t be happier with my new career.
Now that you’ve heard my story, let’s get down to business. As a new person to this organization, I’ve come to realize that there is so much for me to learn about. If you’re not aware already, VoIP Innovations is a portfolio company of ABG Capital and so are GlobalPOPs, Inspira, and End User Services. I was hired by ABG Capital but I am primarily working with VoIP Innovations. Not only do I have to learn the inner workings of ABG Capital and VoIP Innovations, but I have to learn about the three other companies as well!
Since VoIP Innovations is the primary company I’ll be working with, the “A Chat With Nat” blogs posts will all revolve around them and my experience learning about them. In the three weeks I’ve been here so far, I’m starting to see that the VoIP industry has its own language. I have lists of terminology, acronyms, and diagrams that I’m constantly looking at to be able to understand the conversations that go on around there!
I want my blog series to relate to you and I want to give you an inside look at VoIP Innovations. It’s a fantastic place to work that’s filled with fantastic and brilliant people who are always trying to come up with the next best thing, and they usually do! I also would love feedback from you.
