Happy Friday everyone! I know you’ve been looking forward to this Chat with Nat all week long, so I won’t waste any more time. The past few weeks have been relatively calm here at VoIP Innovations, but this week I have a ton of great things to tell about.

We’ve been going through and completing some of the features that our customers have submitted though our Feature Management system in the BackOffice. But before I get into talking about all of the great features we’ve added, I want to share that we redesigned our New Feature Request form and we created the ability for our customers to upload files when they submit a New Feature Request. We’re always looking to enhance user experience in the BackOffice and creating the ability to upload files has definitely accomplished that. Let’s face it, some people are just better at mapping out what they want in programs like Paint, rather than using only words to explain it. We figured out that creating prototypes in Paint was a great system and it has made our whole team more efficient!

Now let’s get into some of the fun stuff and talk about what we released in our BackOffice recently. Here is a list of the new things to look for in the VoIP Innovations BackOffice:

  • Approve/Deny emails for the new End User Portal that will notify the end user if their order request was Approved or Rejected.
  • Send Administrative and Billing contacts an email summary of purchased DIDs. This can be turned on or off in your Email Notification center.
  • We added a Carrier Name column to our CDRs.
  • We added a DID Quick Search that allows customers to search by TN, Endpoint Group, DID Group or Client.

We couldn’t forget about our awesome API! Here are some of the features that we’ve recently added to our API:

  • We added the ability to add, edit and delete a group or clients
  • Rate Center and State fields were added when returning number information using the Audit DID function.
  • Customers can now choose the specific carrier they wish to use.

While our development and engineering teams were hard at work making these features and functionalities possible, one of our Technical Service Reps was writing an awesome article on our Email to Fax and Fax to Email services. Tom Cavey has been with VoIP Innovations for over 3 years now and he’s gotten to know our services like the back of his hand! Tom wanted to explore the world of Email and Faxing though VoIP, so he wrote a two part article that talks about the services we offer and how to use them. In Part 1, Tom broke down Email to Fax and for Part 2 next week he’ll dive into Fax to Email. Make sure to check this out if you’re a current VoIP Innovations Customer looking to start using our Email and Faxing services. This article is even for those of you who are in the market for an awesome new wholesale VoIP provider.

Tim Linn | VoIP Innovations In other exciting news, we want to give a huge shout out to our Lead Systems Engineer, Tim Linn, who found out a couple weeks ago that he qualified for membership to Mensa! If you’re not sure what exactly Mensa is, it’s “the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.” Congratulations on this exciting achievement, Tim!

With that being said, thanks for stopping by to check out this week’s Chat with Nat to learn about all of the exciting news that’s going on with VoIP Innovations.
