“There are two things to aim at in life; first to get what you want, and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind has achieved the second,” said Logan Pearsall Smith. I think this quote is very fitting for today’s Chat with Nat because if you read my post from earlier this week, you know that we’ve added a call forwarding option to our awesome VoIP Innovations BackOffice. Whether or not we enjoy what we got, or in this case what we made, has everything to do with how our customers react to it. After all, we’re not happy unless our customers are happy! Check out this feedback we got from a customer not long after we made the call forwarding announcement:
"This is a great feature you guys added for us or your clients. I have been wondering where VI can help when it comes to getting us on the redundancy service level, and this is it! For example, what if our IPsmarx softswitch is down? I can sleep better now by manually going to my VoIP Innovations portal to forward calls for our important clients, especially those PBX clusters."
Getting feedback like this is what makes us happy and reassures us that we’re doing the right stuff. If you want to learn more about our new call forwarding feature, you have a few places to look. You can start at the blog post for a brief overview, work your way to the Wiki article that goes more into depth and then you can end your search by watching our YouTube video that walks you through the set up.
Another new feature that was added to the VoIP Innovations BackOffice this week was in the My DID Groups page. If you open My DID groups and select a group you’ll see a DID breakdown table. Normally you would be able to see things like MRC, Orig, Term, Total Cost and so on, but we’ve just added a Tier and Network column to that breakdown as well. Here’s what it looks like now:
I’ve already mention the blog post from earlier this week that highlighted call forwarding, but I can’t forget to mention the new pricing structure we’ve introduced for Canadian usage. If you are already using our Canadian services, you know payments are set up on a per minute basis. Well that’s about to change! Customers now have the option to pay on a per port basis. If you want more details on this great new option, contact your sales rep or send an inquiry email to email@example.com.
To wrap this up and let you get to your weekend, I want to mention that we’re attending the ITEXPO in August. This is the tradeshow of all telecom tradeshows. All the key players in the telecom industry will be under one Las Vegas roof for three days. New products and services will be unveiled, friends will reconnect and new relationships will be made. This is basically the one tradeshow you want to be at. If you are going, we’ll be at booth #508 so please stop by and say hello! We’ll be showcasing our BackOffice, Titanium III and also our new and improved TPL BackOffice. Since there’s been so many improvements made to both of these over the past few months we’re going to put out a few blog posts that talk more about those improvements. I know I’m bringing this tradeshow up pretty early, but it’ll come around faster than you think. In the meantime keep a look out for social media posts, discount codes, promotions, press releases, and other news about the ITEXPO in the upcoming weeks.
Thanks everyone and have a great weekend :)
