Welcome back to a Chat with Nat! This week we made some updates in our Titanium Private Label VoIP BackOffice (TPL), we published a white paper on E911 and service providers and we’re in the works to release some new features to the Endpoint section in our Wholesale VoIP BackOffice.

The updates we made to our TPL BackOffice were mainly audio related, plus the addition of international outbound calling for Hosted PBX and SIP Trunks as well as the ability to port Toll-free numbers. The audio features include a Dial-By-Name Directory, customizable on-hold music and Inbound Call Recording. If you take a look at our blog post from earlier this week, you’ll find more details on these new features along with links to in-depth Wiki articles.

This week we published a great white paper written by VoIP Innovations President, Jason Tapolci. The white paper focused on E911 and Service Providers where he highlighted some of the most important factors to consider when researching E911 services for your VoIP system. Jason started with the history of E911 and then talked about how it actually works. He discusses how E911 affects VoIP service providers and what it means for the services they need to offer. He closed the white paper by discussing the drawbacks of making unregistered 911 calls, or Rogue 911 calls.

Looking forward to next week, we’ll be releasing some new Endpoint features in our BackOffice. The first is a new column in the Endpoint Overview dashboard that shows the number of DIDs in an Endpoint Group. This may seem like a small feature, but it’s one that makes a dramatic difference in managing Endpoint Groups. The second piece to this update is the ability for our customers to set channel limitations. Stay tuned next week for a press release, blog post and Wiki article that dig deeper into these new Endpoint features.

Before we close out the week, I need to address some fantastic news; when we got our Monday traffic report, we noticed that we hit a milestone. Our traffic was the largest it’s been in months and it was truly an exciting that will make our weekend, and hopefully yours, even better!
