Welcome back to your Chat with Nat! I didn’t get to post last week because we were at ITEXPO meeting and greeting with tons of great people. Jason Tapolci (President), Randy Stegner (Operations Manager), Tim Linn (Lead Engineer), Bret Deering (Salesman) and myself attended the show last week and it’s safe to say that we had a great time as usual.
My favorite part of the show was putting faces to some of the people that I communicate with and also getting to know some of our current customers and carriers. I was also very pleased with the amount of positive feedback that we got on our promotional materials. Not only did we have a 10ft tall cardboard cutout of The VI Guy, but we had giant footprints leading to our booth, orange bags, lanyards with VI Guy name-badge inserts and our most impressive give away item - a custom VoIP Innovations flask. It was a huge hit! Below are a few pictures from the show, but if you want to check out more, visit our Facebook page.
I also talked a little with Randy and Jason to get their thoughts on the show. Here’s what they had to say:
“My favorite part of the ITEXPO is meeting existing customers. It’s great to be able to put a face with a name and chat with them about their experience with VI. The feedback we get is beneficial because I’ve found that they will tell you both the good and bad. This is helpful because we want to continue doing what is working well for them and make adjustments where they are needed. The thing that surprised me the most was when we gave away 150 VI T-shirts in less than five minutes!” – Randy Stegner
“It was good to see everyone in the industry and overall it was a good show. The VoIP industry continues to fragment into core competencies. Companies are honing in on their strength and building a service around that strength to meet a well-defined target market. Account automation and transparency seem to get a lot of attention, which is interesting because these two items are what VoIP Innovations is built around.” – Jason Tapolci
While we were getting back into the swing of things this week, we posted an article on the 5 Myths of Video Conferencing. Michelle Patterson has written a few articles for us before and they always provide interesting information to our readers. In this post she pinpointed the areas of video conferencing that make people the most uncomfortable and then she explained why there is nothing to fear.
Here are a few things we have coming up next week:
- A Guest Post about how VoIP can help you learn more about your customers.
- The long-anticipated story of the VI Guy.
- Porting Representative, Trichelle Barish, will share a few tips on what our customers can do to ensure a smooth port.
- Another Guest Post on how to keep up to date with telecom trends.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! :)
