It seems like we were all just complaining about Monday, and here Friday is again. That's perfect for me though, because now I get to fill you in on what we’ve been doing at VoIP Innovations all week! I first want to start by welcoming a brand new employee to our team. Her name is Trichelle Barish and she will be working as one of our Provisioning Representatives. Welcome to the team Trichelle!

While I’m on the topic of new things, I want to mention that we also started displaying the full names of our origination and termination carriers in our BackOffice. Our BackOffice has also been undergoing a few more changes. While no functionality has changed, the look and feel of some pages might appear different than before. Here is a list of the pages in our BackOffice that have been converted to the new style:

  • Account
    • Contact information
    • BackOffice Users
    • API Users
  • CDRs
    • Current CDRs
    • Archived CDRs
  • Billing > Transactions
    • Recent Transactions
    • Archived Transaction

Next week I’ll also be starting a two part series on the development life cycle of a new feature. We get ideas for new features all the time; they can come from our customers or our internal departments who work with our customers on a daily basis. Part One of this series will talk about the initial stages that a feature request goes through from the initial request submission all the way to when it is deployed to customers. Part Two of the series explores what happens after the feature is deployed. We'll cover things like defects and tasks that are submitted by our customers or employees. This series gives you and inside look at the routines our team has created to make sure that we are producing the best features in the industry.

With all of that being said, I have a few announcements to make about upcoming events we’re planning. We’ll be having our annual Halloween party on Halloween with a Pot Luck lunch and costumes contests. We aren’t planning to waste any time until the next event because on November 1st we’ll be holding an Open House to show off our brand new expanded office. Later on in November we’ll be volunteering at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and then we'll have our annual Turkey Bowl football game. As usual, even though we're attending these events our support staff will still be available to assist you with any issues.

Have a great weekend everyone!
