Enterprises will experience improvements in productivity, end user experience and streamlined business processes as additional options are added including machine learning, artificial intelligence and bots working to close gaps in the flow of communications.

While integrated enterprise communications is spreading, it will arrive at different vertical industries at various times and with varying degrees of strength. As disruptive technology makes it imperative to rearrange workflows, communications will be integrated as a way to push innovation and collaboration on jobs.

As this technology becomes more widespread, expect that application vendors will compete heavily with their communications-enabled products. Communications application providers are also making it easy for software developers to include their technology in the design of their solutions.

End users will likely access a simple connection point to utilize communications tools in their workflow applications. On a laptop or desktop, it will be possible to simply choose a Bluetooth device or use a USB, and when using a phone, they’ll simply have a default setting to the device in use.

IT professionals will appreciate the integrated enterprise communications tools because they’ll be maintained and upgraded by the application vendor, and it won’t be necessary to maintain any interfaces to the IP-PBX.
